Passengers hoping to travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow this morning are facing delays and disruption.

A fault with the signalling system at Linlithgow has disrupted the line towards Edinburgh, causing problems for ScotRail services running between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh via Falkirk High.

These issues are set to last until mid-morning, with National Rail hoping the problem will be resolved by 10am.

Elsewhere on the rails in Scotland, another signal fault at Larbert is causing more delays on routes between Inverness or Aberdeen and Glasgow Queen Street.

And in Wales there is disruption across various routes for the third day in a row due to slippery rails, causing delays and cancellations.

Buses are still replacing trains between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth after a train crash on Monday evening.
