Agatha All Along, the studio’s latest TV series, has finally been released on Disney Plus, with plenty of fans hailing it as the best MCU show so far.
A spin-off to the hugely popular WandaVision, the new series saw Joe make his entrance as a mysterious character called Teen (later revealed to be Billy Maximoff) opposite Kathryn Hahn as the anti-hero Agatha, and fellow cast members including Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata.
Ahead of its premiere, Metro.co.uk had the chance to speak to Joe, 20, about his role, what it was like to work with such an incredible coven of powerhouse actresses and his hopes for his future in the franchise.
Before Agatha All Along began, there was a lot of speculation about who Teen really was, with many fans suspecting that he was actually a character named Wiccan.

In Agatha All Along, it was finally confirmed after several episodes that Teen was in fact Billy Maximoff, reincarnated into the body of William Kaplan.
This moment was revealed in episode six after William was involved in a fatal car accident, right as the ‘Hex’ that Wanda had created in WandaVision was collapsing and her sons Billy and Tommy disappeared.
Prior to Agatha All Along’s launch, when fans guessed that Joe would be playing Wiccan, theories subsequently flew around the internet that Kit, 20 – who plays his boyfriend Nick in the beloved Netflix series Heartstopper – could be joining the MCU as his romantic interest Hulkling.
We therefore had to know if Joe was aware of these rumours and what he thought of the possibility.
‘I have not, and I hope he does not. No, I’m joking!’ the Agatha All Along star quipped.
‘I’d love it if Kit was in the MCU. I love working with him, but I’m pretty sure that’s just a baseless rumour.’
When the rumours first emerged, fans went absolutely wild with excitement, with some calling the supposed casting ‘perfection’ and ‘amazing’.
We’ll just have to wait and see whether it actually happens!
Looking ahead to his future in the MCU, Joe expressed his hope that his character arc will continue, stating: ‘I obviously would love to, but that is not up to me. If it was up to me, I’d be in all of them. But yeah, it’s not my choice.’
The Netflix star also shared that he had ‘so many’ pearls of wisdom that he received from the amazing actresses who he worked with on Agatha All Along.

‘They’re all such incredible people, and they’ve done some incredible things in their career. I couldn’t specifically name things, but just the way that they hold themselves on the set, and the professionalism and their work ethics is definitely something that I’ve tried to take,’ he shared.
Before Agatha All Along premiered, Joe masterfully played coy when asked about Teen’s identity to avoid divulging any spoilers.
When asked how fans would react when they learnt who Teen really is, he answered: ‘Well, I think – I hope – they’ll be excited, and it’ll be a cool, cool mystery to be solved.’
He then added playfully: ‘If I say less, then the less I’m likely to say anything I’m not allowed to say!’
