A new channel for kids has just been added to the service[/caption]
New channels are constantly added – and this week saw a new kids channel announced just ahead of half term.
The platform is Samsung TV Plus, which can be accessed from most Samsung smart TVs.
They’re streamed channels, so all you need is an internet connection to tune in without any need to sign-up.
Video Game Heroes from the Kartoon Channel is the latest addition, launching in the UK, Spain and Italy.
It features the company’s flagship series Kidaverse Roblox Rumble as well as iconic names from the world of video games, including Sonic X and Donkey Kong Country.
“Gaming is a popular way of consuming content for kids six to nine because it meets two key needs: escapism and connection,” said Paul Robinson, President of Kartoon Channel Worldwide.
“Parents are seeking safe, entertaining content for their children to watch, and Kartoon Channel provides that environment.
“We have programmed the channel to deliver a diverse, gender-neutral community and give kids a gaming-led entertainment experience with which parents should feel very comfortable.”
There are plenty more channels for kids on Samsung TV Plus, including POP, Mr Bean Animated, Smurf TV and Teletubbies.
But there are channels for adults too.
Sky recently added five, including Sky Sports.
The broadcaster already had Sky Mix and Challenge available on the platform for free.
But since September, Samsung TV owners can also watch:
Sky Sports Stories
Sky Sports Classics
Sky Artist of the Year
Pick Paranormal
Emergency 24/7
Sports documentaries are shown on Sky Sports Stories, with EFL Rivalries to Her Huddle.
Special archive content like Premier League Icons and Premier League Legends is broadcast on Sky Sports Classics.
Meanwhile, Pick Paranormal is the home of supernatural, with classic episodes of Most Haunted.
Sky’s Emergency 24/7 channel features Highway Cops, Air Ambulance ER and Stop Search Seize.
Samsung TV Plus has a load of other well-known channels to watch as well, many themed around hit series.
There’s a channel that shows back-to-back episodes of The Graham Norton Show.
And you can see endless episodes of BBC series Homes Under the Hammer too.
The makers of U&Dave, UKTV, also have some streamed channels, including U&Laughs, U&The Past, U&Real Heroes and U&Transport.
Get more quality TV for free

If you’re tired of paying out on several streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ then there are a growing number of free alternatives around.
While many of these alternatives have been filled with obscure content, more big names like Sky have got on board in recent years offering some quality stuff, which is largely archive but still entertaining.
As well as UKTV, Sony and Channel 5 are among the other players getting involved.
If you haven’t already, give Pluto TV a go, it’s available on pretty much all devices including Fire TV Sticks.
On there you’ll find channels from MTV, with Catfish and Geordie Shore.
Some of the classics are real gems too – I found myself watching long-forgotten episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch the other day.
