A Stryker AFV suffered a direct hit from a kamikaze drone during redeployment in Kharkov Region, the Russian Defense Ministry has said
Russian forces have destroyed an armored fighting vehicle (AFV) supplied to Ukraine by its Western backers with a single, precise drone strike, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said, releasing a video of the attack.
In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said that the American-made Stryker AFV was eliminated in Kharkov Region by service members from the ‘North’ group forces with a direct hit. It noted that the vehicle had been spotted by reconnaissance units as it drove through wooded terrain.
Officials added that after analyzing the intel, a decision was made to attack the Stryker. “As a result of a direct hit from an FPV drone, the US-made Stryker armored personnel carrier was destroyed,” the military said, adding that the destruction was confirmed using objective control means.

The black-and-white footage released by the ministry, apparently filmed by a surveillance drone, shows the vehicle traveling at high speed along the road when the kamikaze drone hits it from the front. The vehicle explodes, with a burst of sparks and armor fragments flying in all directions, with the fate of the crew unknown.
