The Hall of Famer, 75, revealed he and his 64-year-old partner had ‘respectfully’ decided to call time on their relationship after 13 years.
‘Wendy and I enjoyed 13 great years. As with every couple, we have experienced our ups and downs,’ he wrote on Instagram and X.
‘I think it’s important for everyone to know right now that we have decided to part ways respectfully.’
The so-called Nature Boy – who is recognised by WWE as a 16-time world champion – thanked his former partner for supporting him over the years.
In 2017, Ric suffered complications from surgery after having an obstructive piece of his bowel removed and suffered from kidney failure when he was placed in a medically-induced coma the same year due to a ruptured intestine.
Ric wrote: ‘I’ll never be able to thank her enough for standing by my side through my terrible health crisis in 2017. She never left my side! And for that I will always be grateful!
‘We both are working on different projects at the current time and it becomes difficult with my schedule and her schedule to make this work.
‘I wish her the best of luck with her projects and I know that she supports mine.’
Wendy was Ric’s fifth wife, and even played his valet Fifi at some events.
Earlier this year, Ric and Wendy both shared their support for Kidder when he released his first album.
Ric wrote on X: ‘Congratulations @sebastianonmic On The Release Of Your First Album- Under The Moon! I Am So Proud Of You! WOOOOO! Available On All Streaming Platforms!’
Wendy meanwhile said on Instagram: ‘I am so excited to announce the release of My Son Sebastian’s first album ðŸ‘💪💪ðŸ¾â™¥ï¸
‘It’s called Under the Moon and you can find it on all streaming platforms. He writes his songs and has worked hard to self publish his music ðŸ‘♥ï¸
‘Please take a moment to listen and share his music. It’s a Great opportunity to support our young artists who are brave enough to open their Hearts to the World. It’s not easy expressing yourself through music so whether he connects with 10 people or 10 million people he will have achieved success just by staying true to his Dreams @bumblefoot
‘I am a very Proud Mommy ♥ï¸.’
Kidder also promoted his music on TV, saying on Good Day Atlanta: ‘It’s actually very romance-filled, [that] is probably the core of the album. A lot of sexual energy [and] there’s a lot of lust in there, so something that people can relate to, for sure.’
According to US Weekly, he added that his mum encouraged his career in music after hearing him sing a cover for a girl he was dating.
‘My mom got a hold of it and she actually just was like, “Woah, this is really good.” So she starts sending it around to people, and then you get traction and just roll with it.’
Kidder also spoke about his relationship with Ric, saying he gave him ‘a lot of advice’.
‘That’s the interesting thing growing up with Ric Flair as a stepdad, [he] was very different and very unique.
‘I mean, you go out to a family meal and you’re just surrounded by fans. You’re already exposed to that [by] an early age, everybody coming up, wanting pictures and autographs.
‘I mean, what kid has, like, Post Malone coming over for dinner?’
Ric also has four children from past relationships, including daughter Charlotte who has followed in his footsteps into wrestling.
