BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst has made a rare comment about her marriage.

The newsreader, 44, shares three children with her husband Ted Fraser, who she married in 2014.

The couple had met just one year earlier in Croatia, and though Nina rarely talks about her private life on the BBC, she’s now given us an insight into her relationship.

Nina had been discussing Harry Redknapp’s ‘secret to a happy marriage’ after the I’m A Celebrity star declared: ‘Never talk about football.’

Clearly agreeing in separating work from home, she commented: ‘I think lots of partners would say “just don’t talk about work”.’

‘Certainly my husband would,’ she added.

Earlier this month, Nina gave another peak into her marriage, as she looked back on her own ‘special’ day.

During a report on the 100 weddings held at Marylebone Town Hall, she recalled: ‘I got married at City Hall in New York and it was a conveyor belt.

‘There were loads of couples in front of us, we were just in a queue.

‘Some people said it would de-romanticize it a bit but I felt like I got to share the day with hundreds of other people.

‘Which is what these people are doing today, so it’ll be really special.’

Nina regularly keeps followers updated with her personal life on social media and previously spoke about life as a mum of three, and defended her decision to return to the BBC after giving birth to her daughter Nance last year, when she was six months old.

‘Same age that her brothers were when I went back, but they were pretty much weaned at that point,’ Nina told her followers on Instagram.

She went on to talk about her plans for feeding Nance while returning to the BBC, before saying: ‘Also, while I’m here, quite a few people have said to me, “don’t rush back”, and I understand that the intentions are really good there, spend more time with your baby, but firstly, some people want to go back, that’s up to them, that’s totally fine.

‘And secondly, most people I know go back for financial reasons and it’s brilliant for people who have the pot of money or their partner pays the mortgage to extend it, but that’s not the case for me or most of my female friends who have had children.’

Nina and Ted welcomed Nance last year, and their two sons, Digby and Michael, in 2016 and 2018.
