Tragedy as woman’s body is found in river near cafe with forensic officers launching investigation

THE body of a woman has been found in a river as cops launch an investigation.

The tragic discovery was made near Tuckton Tea Gardens, in the River Stour off Belle Vue Road in Dorset at around 9.21am today.

Dorset Police have launched an investigation into the death.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and the woman’s next of kin has been informed.

“The coroner has also been notified. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.”
