MAURA Higgins has broken her silence on her romance with Pete Wicks after they were spotted snogging.
Love Island beauty Maura, 33, and Strictly star Pete, 36, have kept fans guessing in recent months.
But in The Sun’s exclusive pictures yesterday the couple confirmed their relationship as they were seen kissing after enjoying a date in London.
Now Maura – who shot to fame on the 2019 series of Love Island – has spoken for the first time about her connection with former Towie star Pete.
She said: “We just get on very, very well. I adore him, he’s an amazing person.
“Do you know what’s so weird? We met very soon after me coming off Love Island and we just instantly clicked.
“Our humour is the same. It’s like that sick, dark humour. It’s very abusive. We abuse each other. Very nasty, it’s hilarious.”
Maura made the admission on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Brunson and also opened up about previous failed relationships.
She’s been linked to stars including Giovanni Pernice and fellow Love Islander Chris Taylor.
Maura said: “I’ve not had a great track record in relationships.
“I just feel like apart from my best friend, every guy has just let me down.
“I expect to be let down and you can never be in a healthy relationship if I’m expecting that.”
Maura and Pete first set tongues wagging after they were pictured snogging in public in the summer.
The pair were also seen getting VERY close at the after-party for the Pride of Britain Awards, reports claimed.
One fan saw Maura “planting a kiss on Pete’s nose before the pair kissed on the lips”, it was reported.
Maura’s admission comes weeks after they were seen “all over each other” in a pub, when she joined Pete and his Strictly co-stars.
