Map reveals UK’s LUCKIEST city for Postcode Lottery with over 480 winners

BRITAIN’S luckiest postcode has been revealed – and it’s home to more than 480 lottery winners.

The People’s Postcode Lottery offers entrants a chance to score hundreds of thousands of pounds based on where they live.

The city boasts an average of 43.64 wins per postcode district

The UK’s luckiest city has had a total of 480 winners from its 11 postcodes.

Preston in Lancashire is our luckiest city.

It has accumulated 480 winners from its 11 postcodes and boasts an average of 43.64 wins per postcode district.

Snapping at its heels are another nine cities.

In second place, we have Warrington in Cheshire, with 35.69 average wins per postcode district.

It has 16 postcode districts and a total of 571 wins.

In third place, it’s the seaside city of Blackpool in Lancashire with an average of 34.50 wins across its eight postcode districts.

Overall it has earned 276 wins.

In fourth place, it’s the party city, Nottingham – with 33.28 average wins per postcode district.

The city has had 965 total wins across its 29 postcode districts.

In fifth place we have another Midlands city, it’s Leicester.

A town in Greater Manchester has bagged sixth place – known for its industrial heritage, it’s Bolton.

Bolton has an average of 32 wins per postcode district.

The town’s 10 postcode districts have accumulated 320 wins in total.

In seventh place, it’s a South London town, it’s Croydon.

With 30.25 average wins per postcode district.

The town’s eight postcode districts have won 242 times in total.

In eighth place, taking us all the way to Scotland – it’s Motherwell, North Lancashire.

It has an average of 30.17 wins per postcode district.

The town’s 12 postcode districts have won 362 times overall.

The Staffordshire town has an average of 29.52 wins per postcode district.

The town’s 21 postcode districts have won a total of 620 times. 

It has also been revealed that the unluckiest place for a Postcode Lottery win is West Central London.

With an average of 0.56 wins per postcode district.

Closely following are East Central London (EC) and Kirkwall (KW), with averages of 0.61 and 3.31 wins per postcode district, respectively.
