Sky employee reveals typing secret code on remote unlocks hidden menu – all Netflix users need to know about it

A SKY employee has revealed how to find a hidden menu on your TV with a few taps on the remote control.

The mysterious feature is so well-hidden that you’re not likely to find it by accident.

You’ll want to use the buttons on your TV remote to tap in a secret code[/caption]

Instead press “001” and then press select.

If you do it right, this should take you into the hidden Sky TV menu.

BONUS TV REMOTE TRICKS

There are three other Sky TV remote tricks that you should definitely learn.

First up, there’s an easy way to find your Sky Q remote if you’ve lost it.

You may not have realised that the Sky logo on your TV box is actually a button.

And if you press it, your Sky Q TV remote will then beep for 30 seconds.

Sky hails the trick as perfect for if you’re “sick of losing your remote down the back of the sofa”.

“That’s why our Sky Q touch remotes have a handy Find my remote feature to stop you turning your house upside down when you’ve lost it,” Sky explains.

There are some catches: it only works the main Sky Q box, and not any Sky Q Mini boxes.

The remote also needs to be paired to the Sky box and be within range, as well as having battery – it won’t work if the remote is dead.

Second is a trick that takes advantage of the microphone button your Sky TV remote.

It lets you skip TV ads instantly when watching recorded content.

Just press the microphone button, say “fast-forward three minutes”, and then let go.

You’ll instantly blast past the ads without having to manually fast-forward.

Finally, there’s a great way to find movies that you’ve forgotten the name of.

And like the previous tip, it takes advantage of the Sky Q remote’s voice search feature.

You can simply say a famous movie or TV show quote into the remote control to pull up the movie.
