EA Sports FC 25’s top scorers and most popular teams are a bit of a shock

New data shows that Great Britain plays more EA Sports FC 25 than anyone else in the world but the top goal scorer is not who you’d think.
It might have recently changed its name from FIFA, but every year we know that there will be a new EA Sports FC title coming out and that it will sell outrageously well, despite usually only making minor tweaks to the previous game.
This year we got more features to sink our teeth into than normal, with more realistic tactics, a new 5v5 game mode, and smarter AI (although it’s certainly not perfect).
To celebrate 25 days since launch, EA Sports FC 25 has revealed some detailed information on which players and clubs are most popular and which countries in the world play the game the most.
For example, could you guess how many goals have been scored, worldwide, in EA Sports FC 25 since it came out?
Well, it’s no less than 4.3 billion… from a total of 1.7 billion games, which means on average a game of EA Sports FC 25 ends with 2 and a half goals.
The data also shows that fans in Great Britain (we’re not sure why it’s not the UK) have played the most games around the world, at 287 million, followed by Germany (228 million), France (162 million), Spain (103m), Italy (100m), and the US (92m).
What about the players who have scored the most goals across all leagues? It’s not Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe, but Inter’s Marcus Thuram on the men’s side and Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor on the women’s side.
The most selected teams are more predictable, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Manchester City making the top four on the men’s side, in descending order.
The women’s mode is completely dominated by English teams, topped by Chelsea and followed by Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Another bit of interesting data shows which players are the most popular in Ultimate Team Rush mode, which include, in descending order for men:
Andreu Fontàs Prat, Luis Muriel, Nacho Gil, Antoine Griezmann, and Ryan Gauld.
