A WOMAN has been killed in a crash with a lorry as her heartbroken family pay tribute to their “beautiful, funny daughter”.
Clare Laskey, 47, tragically died after the horror collision near the Whiddon Down junction, in Cornwall, on October 15, at 11.02pm.
An inquest heard how the steward and her partner were travelling along the A30 eastbound in their silver Kia Ceed before the smash.
Clare was in the front passenger seat when the tragedy unfolded, as reported by Cornwall Live.
Senior coroner Philp Spinney told the inquest how their car “potentially aqua planed” moments before the crash “causing the vehicle to go onto its side.”
The inquest was told how Clare was getting out of the vehicle when it was struck by a Scania articulated HGV.
Clare’s heartbroken family said: “We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful, loyal and funny daughter, partner, sister and aunt in such tragic circumstances.
“She will be sadly missed by us all including her friends and the amazing Lizard community. Forever in our hearts.”
