Liverpool spent an initial £64m to sign Nunez but add-ons could take his overall fee up to £85m.
Nunez has blown hot and cold since his move to Liverpool, contributing 35 goals in all competitions but also wasting a host of chances and finding himself out of the starting XI for significant spells.
But Yorke believes ‘there is a monster of a player’ in Nunez and says he would be a superb addition for his former club Manchester United.
As a result, Yorke has advised Manchester United to ‘poach’ Nunez from Liverpool and says he could ‘rip up the Premier League’ at Old Trafford.
‘If I could sign anyone to come in at number nine for Manchester United, then I would try and nick Darwin Nunez off Liverpool,’ Yorke told SafestCasinoSites.
‘Again, I know people may scoff at that suggestion, he’s a little bit out of form, and people give him stick, but I’m convinced that there is a monster of a player in there that is waiting to come out.
‘He’s got a presence; he’s got something nasty about him and I think he’s a real handful.
‘Manchester United need a player who can act as that focal point and give them that presence on the pitch. They need someone with Darwin Nunez’s physical attributes.
‘He’s somebody I would try to poach. If I’m looking for a number nine right now, I would take a chance with this guy.
‘Ollie Watkins is a great striker, but I think United need someone with a bit more of a physical presence up top.
‘I’m convinced that if you played him week-in, week-out, Darwin Nunez would start ripping up the Premier League.’
Speaking after the emphatic victory, ex-United striker Van Nistelrooy said: ‘To go back to yesterday, of course receiving the players and getting together for the first day after Erik [ten Hag] had to leave was a sad day to share.
‘He was the one that asked me to work back here again, and in the first conversation we had I felt such a passion and care for this football club. That is why I was so sad to see him go.
‘Having said that, football and life continues and we knew that 75,000 people would be waiting for us here today, with millions more watching at home behind their screens and radios and you have to switch then as players.
‘We tried to switch that button for the players, try to get the mindset going and go out tonight and give everything for the fans.’
Amorim’s first game in charge of Manchester United could be Sunday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.
