Multi-vehicle crash closes Dartford tunnel causing miles of queues

There are six-mile queues and one hour delays because the Dartford tunnel is closed following a serious crash.

Heavy traffic has built up around the northbound tunnel of the A282 and crews are working to clear the area as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, closures on the London Overground continue to complicate journeys from the south.

There is no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, which is set to continue until tomorrow.

To top it all off, a reduced service is operating across the entire DLR while TfL works to expand its depot in preparation for the introduction of new trains.
