Who is Anisah Ahmed’s ex-boyfriend Mustafa Hussain? Man recruited to help destroy barrister Iqbal Mohammed’s reputation
Date: 2024-10-31
MUSTAFA Hussain helped his ex-girlfriend Anisah Ahmed in her plot to frame her ex-lover for kidnap.
Anisah’s sinister plan is the focus of the ITV documentary The Real Fatal Attraction which includes details of Hussain’s part in the scheme to send Iqbal Mohammed to jail.Â
Party to a fake kidnap
Much of Hussain’s life before he started helping Ahmed is unknown, but it is widely reported that he was living in Slough when he teamed up with his ex-girlfriend.
Ahmed recruited him to stage a kidnapping, which she was hoping to pin on Iqbal.
She even asked for Hussein to stab her, to make the crime more believable, but he was unable to go through with it.
Eventually, the scheme was unraveled and Hussain was handed a suspended jail sentence for the part he played in it.
He was ordered to pay £2000 in prosecution fees, alongside his 150 hours of unpaid work.
Ahmed’s evil plan
Before the kidnapping plan was hatched, Ahmed had sent a friend request to Iqbal on LinkedIn as well as an email which asked probing questions about his career.
He ignored her messages at first, but finally responded three years later when she tried again.
Then they began a nine-month affair despite the fact that Iqbal was already married.
Ahmed claims that she was unaware of Iqbal’s marriage while they were embroiled in their fling and Iqbal recalled her fury at the discovery of his nuptials.
She sent Iqbal’s wife a message which revealed his affair and forged emails from his email address.
The jilted ex-lover also claimed that Iqbal was threatening to release intimate pictures of her.Â
Ahmed lied to the police
When an investigation into Ahmed’s behaviour was launched, she falsely claimed that he had raped her.
This led to Iqbal’s arrest in his chambers, in front of his colleagues, which threatened to destroy his reputation.
In order to ensure her plan’s chances of success, Ahmed concocted her fake kidnapping story which later unravelled and led to her being handed a life sentence.Â
The Real Fatal Attraction
The shocking scheme led by Ahmed and Hussain has been compared to the sinister actions of Glenn Close’s character in Fatal Attraction.
A series, which dives into her criminal doings, will air on November 13, 2024 on ITV.
The series is named The Real Fatal Attraction in a reference to the famous film which Ahmed’s plans bore such a resemblance to.
The Real Fatal Attraction will also be available to stream on ITVX.
