Woman, 62, found stabbed to death in house as woman, 55, who knew her arrested on suspicion of murder

A WOMAN was found stabbed to death in a house as cops arrest another woman who knew her on suspicion of murder.
Cops were called at 4.53pm yesterday to reports of an unresponsive woman at a property on Westerham Avenue, in Enfield.
Emergency services found a 62-year-old woman with stab injuries.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police have since arrested a 55-year-old woman on suspicion of murder.
She remains in police custody while investigations are ongoing.
It is understood the victim and suspect were known to each other.
The force confirmed there is no indication of any ongoing risk to the wider community.
The victim’s family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.
A post-mortem examination is to be scheduled.
A murder investigation has been launched by Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
DCI Sarah Lee said: “Although we are in the very early stages of our investigation I can confirm that we have arrested a 55-year-old woman on suspicion of murder. She is currently in custody.
“I would like to reassure local people that we are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.
“We believe that the victim and suspect were known to each other and there is no indication of any ongoing risk to public safety.â€
