Democratic governors are dressing up as Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) for Halloween with just five days to go until Election Day.
Govs. Wes Moore of Maryland, Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Maura Healey of Massachusetts, Janet Mills of Maine and Phil Murphy of New Jersey each posted on social platform X on Thursday with side-by-side photos of themselves in an outfit matching one Walz has previously worn.
"All geared up and ready to elect @Tim_Walz and @KamalaHarris in a few days! Make your plan to vote at https://iwillvote.com," Moore wrote in his post, which featured a photo of him next to an older photo of Walz. Moore is wearing a Harris-Walz camouflage hat in the photo.
Moore's post was in response to one made by Whitmer.
"No tricks this Halloween! Just dressing up as our friend @Tim_Walz —excited to elect him and @KamalaHarris. If you haven’t yet, make a plan to vote: https://iwillvote.com," Whitmer said in her post. In the photo she posted of herself, she is wearing Minnesota-themed gear and holding her dog in a pig costume to match an older photo of Walz holding a pig.
Whitmer's post was in turn a response to one by Healey.
"Trick, treat, or touchdown! This Halloween, I’ve got my game face on to elect @KamalaHarris and Coach @Tim_Walz on November 5th. Find your voting location at https://iwillvote.com," Healey wrote. Her costume resembles Walz when he was a football coach, with the governor holding a football and clipboard in an older photo she included in the side-by-side in her post.
