GTA 6 Trailer 2 announcement is next week claims latest fan theory

Rockstar has been tight-lipped about GTA 6 for almost a year now, but some fans believe the next trailer could arrive very soon.
In the 10 months since Rockstar released the first trailer for GTA 6, fans have been constantly speculating on when the next crumb of information will arrive.
Many theories have already come and gone, but anticipation is building as we approach the end of the year. Rockstar released the first trailer in December last year, so the big question is whether we’ll see more from GTA 6 before 2024 bows out.
While this makes December 2024 a likely candidate for Trailer 2’s debut, especially as the game is still slated to come out next year, fans have speculated that we could hear something from Rockstar regarding a new trailer as soon as next week.
As posted on Reddit, fans have highlighted the upcoming earnings call from Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, taking place on Wednesday, November 6.
The post highlights how Rockstar has previously made many of its big announcements prior to its earnings reports. The first trailer for GTA 6 was announced eight hours prior to Take Two’s 2023 report on November 8, while the delay for Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced a day prior to an earnings call on May 23, 2017.
As such, many are hoping an announcement of the next trailer for GTA 6 could happen just before Wednesday, November 6, or potentially on the same day. If an announcement does happen then, it’s possible they could follow the same strategy as last year and release the next trailer in December 2024, just before The Game Awards on December 13.

Rockstar is known for being elusive, and random, when it comes to making announcements about its games. While there is reason to suggest a new trailer is imminent, plenty of quarterly earnings reports have flown by without a peep from Rockstar, so it might be best to keep expectations in check.
If we don’t hear anything about GTA 6 before the end of the year though, that might raise alarm bells over a potential delay into 2026. Back in August, Take Two stated GTA 6 is on track to launch in autumn 2025, but things could easily change.
