A BRITISH paedophile who was jailed for abducting three six-year-old girls has died while rotting in a Morrocan jail.
Former teacher and dad-of-four Robert Bill, from St Asaph, Wales, was most recently convicted of kidnapping and attempted rape in Tetouan in 2014 at the age of 59.
But the vile paedophile had a long history of wrongdoing, stretching back to the attempted abduction of a five year-old girl in Holywell, Flintshire, in 2007.
In March 2009 he was jailed for six years at Caernarfon Crown Court.
Bill appealed and, after pleading guilty before a retrial, then got a two-year prison term at Chester Crown Court in 2010.
Upon leaving prison he travelled to southern Spain and worked as an estate agent.
While there, he was alleged to have bundled a 12-year-old girl into a car in Velez-Malaga before she escaped.
He arrived in Morocco in November 2012 from the Spanish enclave of Ceuta along the coast of north Africa.
He was then arrested in June 2013 after horrified locals heard a child’s cries for help from his car at a petrol station at the Morrocan port town of Tetouan.
He was convicted and jailed for 20 years in April 2014.
Bill was also convicted of kidnapping and trying to rape another two Moroccan girls, the Daily Post reports.
One of these was in Tetouan and the other was in the town of Chefchaouen.
He has now died in prison, it is understood.
A Foreign Office spokesperson told North Wales Live: “We are supporting the family of a British man following his death in Morocco and are in contact with the local authorities.â€
