Nick and his dance partner, Luba Mushtuk, were forced to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing‘s Movie Week after he injured his shoulder and knee during rehearsals.

And now a fan has questioned what this means for Nick and Strictly’s final show, as they asked: “Will you still be able to do the end of series dance in the final. Wouldn’t seem right you not being there.”

To which Nick said it’s unlikely he’ll be taking part, as he wrote: “I’m not sure my injuries will allow – I have to wait for the knee operation until the bicep operation has healed so I can use crutches afterwards.

“So I don’t think recovery will be in time sadly.”

Speaking from the ward recently, DIY SOS star Nick told fans he now has a ‘reattched bicep’ and ‘two or three months’ of physiotherapy ahead of him.

In a video shared to X, he explained, “Just woken up from my op. All went well by all accounts, so I have a reattached bicep now.

“A bit of physio over the next two or three months and all should be right as rain, back to 100% I think.

“That’s one down and one to go on the knee,” he added, before thanking his surgeon, Mr. Ahrens, along with the medical staff.

The accident occurred when Nick fell during a jump, resulting in knee damage that left him on crutches and requiring an MRI scan.

Prior to this, Nick had also hurt his shoulder while changing a car tyre away from show rehearsals.

Although he was able to struggle through that week’s dance, he did take part in several training sessions while wearing a sling.

Although Nick was well enough to return to the competition, his comeback was short-lived.

He and Luba were eliminated during the dance-off against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu, marking him as the third celebrity to leave the show.

Following his exit, the TV presenter took to Instagram with a smiling snap with his fiance Katie Dadzie at the studios.

He admitted being voted off will give him the chance to properly recover and deal with his injuries.

Nick wrote: “Thank you for all your messages, it’s been so much fun!

“Now I can sort out the injuries and spend time with my family and my lovely fiance Katie, who has been supporting me through the Strictly adventure.

“Mostly holding my hand while I’m yelping in physio and doctors appointments,” followed with a laughing face emoji and a love heart icon.

Shayne scored a total of 30 points and was seventh in the leaderboard, while Nick only received 21 points from the judges and was second from the bottom on Saturday.

Both couples performed their routines again tonight; Shayne and Nancy danced their Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams.

Nick and Luba then took to the dancefloor with their Charleston to Rain on the Roof from the film Paddington 2.

After both couples had danced for a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts.

Craig Revel HorwoodMotsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all chose to save Shayne and Nancy.

With three votes in favour of Shayne and Nancy, they had won the majority vote – meaning Nick and Luba had been eliminated.
